Account Application and First Login with Capital One 360 (US)


Capital One 360 is the digital only subsidiary of Capital One, one of the United States' largest retail banks.

The parent bank primarily has operations on the eastern coast of the country, whilst Capital One 360 has been established to service customers nationwide.

The Capital One 360 online application process is quite detailed, particularly when compared to the streamlined process encountered when applying for AMEX Bluebird's digital only account - which would be seen as a direct competitor.

That said, it is not particularly arduous, as we discovered when one of our US based iSky Researchers recently set about completing a 360 checking account application with the bank.

The process was completed in around ten minutes, as the bank suggested it would be, and offered the option to the applicant to deposit funds via cheque before completing the application - to ensure that the account had funds in it within 60 days of opening, as required by the bank's terms and conditions.

Our applicant opted to deposit funds at a later date.

Once all personal information has been entered and the application deemed successful, the new customer transitions into the online banking channel wherein they are required to verify their account and create a username and password.
