The service is only available to US residents, and recently iSky Research was able to successfully apply for an account with the bank with the help of one of our US domiciled team.
New applicants have the option of acquiring a starter pack at their local Walmart, bypassing the need to wait for a debit card to be posted to them, or apply directly through the website as iSky Research did.
The application process, shown in detail below, was one of the most streamlined and simple we have experienced - consisting of only a few pages, and an engaging interface design.
The process simply required the entering of personal information and the verification of an email address, and unlike many other US digital only banks did not incorporate a social security number verification process devised by Chex Systems or a similar provider.
Having completed the application we were then able to immediately login to our new account - though must wait until our new Bluebird debit card arrives in the post before accessing all of the account features.
