CIMB Cut Through With Insurance Promotion


The Singaporean arm of Malaysian based CIMB bank has taken a 'less is more' approach to its latest insurance offering, and we at iSky Research think that it is a step in the right direction.OB-UX684_cimb_E_20121010230608

Bank's often struggle with the mixed priorities of messaging, branding and the 'fine print' when it comes to compiling new and innovative communications, and CIMB has, in the past, not been immune.

Though the email we received from the bank today, highlighting an insurance product promotion, immediately cut-through with its messaging; drawing our attention to the percentage discount squares, and providing easy to read and reach information regarding the product - with large print, and open space in abundance. The fine print has also been confined to the footer, and relies on the easy to digest combination of white print on a dark background.

And at the very base of the email, there is a link to CIMB's local Facebook page for those seeking to connect further with the bank.
