Whilst auditing and benchmarking the wide array of digital channels we access around the world, we often see business banking interfaces and experiences lagging behind digital personal channels, frequently bereft of functionality and looking like they were designed for the dot-matrix era. Tide is one business banking offering that is bucking that trend, and riding the neo-bank wave to the big time of UK SME banking.
Regular readers will have seen our recent post covering an in-app application for a Tide account, accessible here. Today, we are happy to provide the second instalment of our three part mini-series, otherwise known as 'Getting to know Tide'.
There are a variety of stand out features in the bank's app, not least of which include:
- Messenger style chat functionality
- API access in-app
- Capacity to create and monitor invoices
- Payments approvals, device registration management and much more.

Viewers will note that we are still awaiting the arrival of our Tide card, and consequently there is no card management, spend history or business financial management tools that we can share at this time. However, stay tuned for instalment three of our Tide journey, wherein we will focus on these functions - as well as any requests for deeper dives we receive in the meantime from our Cumulus subscribers.
